UPDATE: Staying Healthy Admist Covid.

Hello All?

 Just a quick note hope you are all wonderful and as as safe as you can be during these times.

 As you may or may not know Jp endorses quite a few companies.  But he wanted to take some time to share his thoughts on one company in particular.



"I am not endorsed by this company, however I believe in their product wholeheartedly.  The company is Ascenia/Bayer Diabetes Management... and the reason why I am writing about them us because the product the Contour Link is saving my life.  The over the counter costs for diabetic materials is astronomical.

But this company has kept the over the counter costs of their equipment in the afforeable rage.  I urge anyone struggling with any type of health crisis during this time period to check out this meter.  It is literally saving my life. I am going to do a full review of it because there is so separationg between my diabetes and my art... one affects the other.  Please stay safe stay healthy and thank you for all your support over my 40+ years as a musician I have been blessed.

Fortunately thanks to Eugene's Trick Bag Records & H&J Entertainment, LLC  we do not have to ask of you to pre-order, crowd-fund or donate.  IWe all appreciate your support in any you can give it.

As always short clips of the songs will be on our website media player but the full length songs will only be available on the physical CD.  This could change but we will see... We do not use any of the streaming services, we do offer short samples on the streaming service if you want the full song go to our website to purchase if you like.

Jp & Jesse Doing Their Thang Every year the John-Paul Jones Group does a "soft opening"  many folks don't realize that by November 1st of each year the band is on vacation until March 1st of the following year.    This allows the band much needed time to relax, and to avoid the Iowa winters.  March 1st to May 15th the band starts back in pre-production for the summer concert series. Blues-Bikes-Cars Concert

On July 20th, 2019, despite a statewide heat advisory and power fluctuation problems the John-Paul Jones Group performed at the 1st Annual Blues-Bikes-Cars Concert in Ottumwa, Iowa.  Their brand of Heavy Blues must of  brought in the Heavy Weather, but the band played right to the eve of the storm. The crew worked hard during the storm to pull down the gear and get it out of the storm we were all soaking wet and cold and thanks to a couple good Samaritans we were able to get most of the gear protected. The cars were great as well here are few pictures of them. The Vehicle Show was wonderful with 45 entries.  1st -3rd place was given for cars and trucks. We will get the full roster and awards up in the next few days.  We wanted to thank Scott Reeves of Reeves Hauling for the donation of the Trophies. COPPERTOP STUDIO HUT JOURNAL ENTRY 04-04-2018 CLIENT:  John-Paul Jones Group TIME: 6:30PM to 8:10PM MUSICIANS:    Guitar/Vocals  Jp Jones   Drums - Steven Jones Bass - Sally Ward The John-Paul Jones Group was in the studio today recording an old Sonny Boy Williamson classic tune.  We will keep the actual song under wraps. The band recorded with a minimal setup. The goal is to mimic a direct to recording disc recording.  Sonny Boy Williamson had a unique style of singing.  Jp worked hard at melding his style with this style of blues. But one of the biggest changes, was Jp traded (for this session) his Ibanez Universe 7 String for an Ibanez 6 String Tallman Guitar. Who knew the 7-String Heavy Bluesman could have a softer side.
