March 2019 Update

Well folks, the snow has not left Iowa yet, and seems to keep coming.  H&J Entertainment is still booking us for the summer and the dates are filling up fast, if you are interested you need to give Heather a call at 5154620455 and get your date reserved.

We head into the studio in 10 days to record our next EP and to start pre-production on our summer concert series.

We are proud that we made it to the Top 40 this month on Reverbnation Global and National Blues Charts.   It just goes to show we are growing a fan base and you folks out there are the one's making it happen.

So as we go into the beginning of our touring season we are happy to announce that we again are able to provide some charitable performances again this year.   We are still looking to fill a couple dates in August, one more date in September, and two dates in July.   So if you are interested in a great outdoor show don't hesitate to contact our management.

FIRST SHOW OF THE YEAR GREAT TIME!!

Jp & Jesse Doing Their Thang Every year the John-Paul Jones Group does a "soft opening"  many folks don't realize that by November 1st of each year the band is on vacation until March 1st of the following year.    This allows the band much needed time to relax, and to avoid the Iowa winters.  March 1st to May 15th the band starts back in pre-production for the summer concert series. The John-Paul Jones Group is the primary project of its leader, John-Paul "Jp" Jones and it’s his vision and under his direction the band has progressed in its now 20 years of existence. VISIT THEM ON THE WEB On May 18th, 2019 was the Artist's first show of the year, and it was at a new venue for the John-Paul Jones Group.  The venue is the HFI Creativity Lab located at 408 W. Lowe in Fairfield, Iowa. A unique venue with an oval ceiling full dance floor commercial restrooms.  But no alcohol service. This is a ballroom to be the best way to describe it

Blues-Bikes-Cars Concert

On July 20th, 2019, despite a statewide heat advisory and power fluctuation problems the John-Paul Jones Group performed at the 1st Annual Blues-Bikes-Cars Concert in Ottumwa, Iowa.  Their brand of Heavy Blues must of  brought in the Heavy Weather, but the band played right to the eve of the storm. The crew worked hard during the storm to pull down the gear and get it out of the storm we were all soaking wet and cold and thanks to a couple good Samaritans we were able to get most of the gear protected. The cars were great as well here are few pictures of them. The Vehicle Show was wonderful with 45 entries.  1st -3rd place was given for cars and trucks.
